"As a drummer, a Lords a Leaping project always gives me an opportunity to widen my view as I make decisions on how best to support a song. There's a freedom in knowing I'm not under pressure to help an artist fit into a specific niche or impress a more narrowly defined audience. Here, our hope is to have a collection of songs that can entertain children and seniors alike. I like the fact that in each volume there are elements of playfulness, romance, reverence, and nostalgia. Something special to me is that if I review all the songs I've been fortunate to play on across various projects over the years, there are a couple among the Lords' three volumes in which I feel I came near to reaching my highest mark as a support artist.
